After the exciting launch of the Scrubs & Heels Break the Glass Ceiling Award in 2024, we are excited to announce that application for the Award 2025 is now open !

If you are a female gastroenterologist who has developed an initiative to empower and advance the career of women in GI and close the gender gap and inequities in the field, Scrubs & Heels wants to recognize you and amplify your work !

You quality for the Break the Glass Ceiling Awad if you are :

• A female gastroenterologist (MD, DO)
• Practicing in academia, private practice, hybrid/ community hospital or governmental setting
• Adult or Pediatric gastroenterologist
• US Resident
• Have done work to address gender inequities and promote gender diversity and inclusion and/or developed tangible methods that can be applied by the collective , OR
• Have developed a women-led and/or a women-focused initiative with a positive impact to advance gender equity

At Scrubs & Heels, we have created the Break the Glass Ceiling Award that aligns with our vision of amplifying the voices and the work of women in GI who are breaking barriers for the collective. The Award projects will be considered for their tangible methods that can be applied by the collective and/or for their documented positive impact on the collective.

in Addition, the selected Awardee(s) will :

• Be invited as faculty at the Scrubs & Heels Leadership Summit 2025 to receive their award and to present their work
• Have their work amplified in collaboration with our media partner HealioGastro.
